Meet Our Residents

These are just a few of the many animals we have given sanctuary to. Some of these stories are truly devastating and unimaginable. Now they are living their best life being treated with compassion, kindness and love.

Due to the heartbreaking condition most animals come to us in we have only posted pictures of them after they have started their recovery.

Buck

Our first rescue horse. Buck was old, hips were damaged and emaciated. His age and lack of usefulness to the trail ride business sent him to auction. He was purchased by a buyer in Nevada. Where he was destined to be loaded in a packed trailer full of other horses slated to the same fate slaughtered in a horrific fashion. The kill buyers daughter saw him and he looked back at her with pleading eyes. For what ever reason the daughter wanted to give him a chance. She contacted us and we gave Buck enjoyed every moment of his last years with us.
